Vets4Energy Profiled at Military Order of Purple Heart and Ladies Auxiliary Natiional Coonvention.

Vets4Energy attended the 83rd Military Order of the Purple Heart & 82nd Ladies Auxiliary National Convention, Las Vegas, NV from August 4-8, 2015.
Admiral Don Loren was the keynote speaker on August 5, where he discussed what the Vets4Energy program is and how energy security is key to national security. He specifically talked about energy policies relating to the crude oil ban and RFS (Renewable Fuel Standard).
Captain James McCormick met with attendees at the Vets4Energy booth discussing the need for a solid energy policy to protect our country and engaged attendees to sign-up to participate in the Vets4Energy program. Over 70 attendees sign-up.
Vets4Energy also hosted a luncheon with Admiral Loren and Capt. McCormick with local veterans. Admiral Loren addressed the group and discussed the need for citizens to be engaged in these policies and how Vets4Energy can assist them in engaging. Policy issues such as the crude oil ban, RFS and the Keystone XL pipeline. The luncheon was attended by over 25 veterans, as well as State Senator Pat Spearman who is also a veteran.
The veterans attending this convention were very engaged and supportive of the issues being highlighted by both Admiral Loren and Capt. McCormick. Those who signed up were asking how they could assist in furthering the mission of Vets4Energy.
The Military Order of the Purple Heart hosted their annual convention in Las Vegas. Attendees are Purple Heart recipients and/or spouses of Purple Heart recipients and issues relating to veterans were discussed.
