Vets4Energy Becomes Member of United Veterans Committee of Colorado

June 15, 2016

This week, Vets4Energy was officially voted in as a member of the United Veterans Committee of Colorado (UVC).

Membership into the UVC is by invitation-only and it is an honor to be invited.  Vets4Energy was extended an invitation to become a member in May, and the vote for membership took place on June 14th, 2016.   We thank our Vets4Energy Colorado volunteer chairwoman Leanne Wheeler and the Rocky Mountain Energy Forum for their support in helping us become a member.

The UVC of Colorado is a non-profit organization comprised 50 chartered and federally recognized veterans service organizations, as well as members of the Federal and State legislative delegations, and other local, state and federal government leaders. For over 40 years the UVC has been a recognized and respected voice with both state and federal elected officials on issues related to veterans, service members, and their families, and has achieved a number of legislative accomplishments for Colorado's veterans.

Veterans can serve as a strong voice to elected officials by articulating the importance of energy development to our national security.
