Veterans Day Week for Vets4Energy

Capt. McCormick meets with veterans, elementary and high schoolers, ROTC and adults at various events in West Virginia during Veterans Day week.
November 6 - Veterans Day Patriotism presentation was given at the Jackson County Library to a group of 4H students (ages 5-19) and their parents. 30+ in attendance. Captain McCormick shared information regarding Energy security =National Security, and the role infrastructure plays in security.
November 7 - Good Jobs Conference in Beckley West Virginia where Captain McCormick was able to meet and discuss the importance of energy jobs in the state with many representatives of local economic development groups and community leaders.
November 8 - Wayne County Elementary School Veterans Day Program. Captain McCormick gave a presentation about patriotism and introduced how energy and energy jobs are an important part of the future of not only WV but America. There were approximately 300 adult and children.

November 9 (am) - Bridge Valley Community and Technical College in South Charleston, WV. Captain McCormick discussed why energy security is important to Veterans and America, and why job training in the energy industry is so important. Included in this audience were Veterans, George Washington High School ROTC members and a troop from the Boy Scouts of America.

November 9 (pm) New Haven Veterans Day Presentation. With some 600 parents and community members in attendance, Captain McCormick stepped in (to save this event) when the original presenter failed to show. He discussed the meaning of Veterans Day and patriotism, building a future that includes career opportunities in energy sector, and the importance of developing energy jobs so children in the community don’t have to leave to find work when they grow up.
