Approximately 50 guests attended, including former military officers and service academy alumni who reside in the Minneapolis-Rochester area. Admiral Loren spoke about the goals of Vets4Energy and the issue of energy policy and national security. He addressed energy independence, military readiness, and veteran employment. These areas resonated with the group, which represented a large segment of area professional and business leadership.

After an hour of presentation and questions and answers, Admiral Loren stayed an additional hour in an informal setting with many of the attendees where they engaged in additional dialogue and questions. There was significant interest in the national security imperatives associated with energy policy. The group expressed a desire for us to attend their regular meetings and provide regular briefings on our issues.
