Rear Admiral Loren (ret.) addresses Nevada Veterans Council October 20, 2016.

Vets4Energy's national liaison, Rear Admiral Don Loren, addressed a meeting of the Nevada Veterans Council of 50 attendees including representatives from VFW, American Legion, Military Order of the Purple Heart and Vietnam Veterans of America.

Admiral Loren talked about:

  • How oil and natural gas independence strengthens our national security,
  • The fact that DoD is the largest consumer of petroleum products in the US,
  • That we could not fulfill our mission but for petroleum.
  • Veteeran jobs and the Veterans Energy Pipeline, particularly about that in the next 7-10 years, 50% of petroleum work force will be retiring.  Vets are hard-working, disciplined and know how to fulfill a mission,
  • The need to improve and expand our infrastructure.

After the event, the Admiral stayed for about 30 minutes in informal conversation with the vets, discussed fracking, renewable energy and how the industry puts more $$ into renewable energy than any other sector.
