Petition Signed by 218 Hoosier Veterans

April 14, 2014

Support for the Keystone XL Pipeline was shown by 218 Indiana veterans signing a petition asking the Administration to expeditiously approve the Keystone XL Pipeline: "Five federal studies over five years concludes Keystone XL Pipeline is safe for the environment. Approving the Keystone XL will provide jobs, revenue and will strengthen our energy and national security. We respectfully request that the Administration side with the clear majority of Americans and expeditiously approve the Keystone XL Pipeline."

They signed the petition while visiting a Vets4Energy booth at the 3-day Spring Conference of the American Legion which was held at the Marriott East Hotel in Indianapolis, IN. The veterans stopped by the Vets4Energy booth to visit with Lieutenant Michael Wherry, USN (1988-1995) to learn more about energy and national security issues. National security, jobs for Veterans and our national economy were key issues for the veterans who signed the petition.
