Rear Admiral Don Loren is a retired Navy veteran and the national liaison for Vets4Energy.

Last weekend, I had the honor of addressing Florida’s veterans at the annual Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Florida State Convention in Orlando.

Not only are there many career opportunities for veterans in the energy industry, but these brave men and women are also uniquely positioned to help advance our country’s national security by highlighting the crucial need for sound energy policies.

I was proud to speak to my fellow VFW members and service veterans about Vets4Energy, a group of volunteer veterans who continue to serve America by educating the public about the relationship between energy security and national security.
