“Every single voter, every single citizen in the whole nation needs to contact their senators right now and support the implementation of the KXL pipeline.” General Tony Clark (Ret.) on the importance of passing the Keystone XL pipeline next Tuesday, Nov. 18.
General Tony Clark (Ret.) discussed the importance and status of the Keystone XL pipeline on Fox News radio in Reno, NV. General Clark discussed the many reasons why the Keystone XL pipeline should be approved including the potential job creation and the role the pipeline can play in ensuring America’s energy independence and economic impacts. General Clark discussed the current status of the pipeline in the House and Senate as the pipeline comes up for a vote in both chambers.
When asked his thoughts on should the pipeline not be approved he said, “It flies in the face of what the American people expressed in this month’s election as their desire on how they want to move forward.” The many reasons why the pipeline needs to be approved, including the pipelines potential contribution as an energy-independent America and the job creation, were strong points for the General.
“In a country that is dying for jobs where the middle class is losing money every year - and not gaining as the very wealthy are gaining - these kinds of good paying jobs are absolutely essential.”
During the interview, the General also discussed other energy related issues including the safe use of hydraulic fracturing in Nevada and why America needs to allow for oil exploration and drilling in the Artic Ocean. There was also discussion on the great harm that could come from an increase in renewable fuel standards.
