Energy Issues Are Important As We Prepare to Vote
September 23, 2016
The below was written by Missouri State Senator and Missouri Vets4Energy volunteer Chairman, Wayne Wallingford. It was published on The Missouri Times.
In my role as Chairman of Missouri Vets4Energy, I want to remind voters of the importance of our nation’s energy renaissance in the upcoming election on November 8. At both the state and national level, there is much discussion regarding job creation and economic growth. I urge voters to pay close attention to policy discussions that impact our ability to increase access to our nation’s energy resources and construction of vital energy infrastructure.
As a veteran, I am always reminded of the sacrifices of our military men and women as they fought in conflicts to ensure our independence and quality of life. Policies that will maintain the standing of the United States as the world’s leading oil and natural gas producer should be taken into consideration as we cast our votes for new leaders of the state and nation.
Energy policy is not a partisan issue. It is about America’s future security and prosperity.
Senator Wayne Wallingford
Missouri State Senate, District 27
