Q. What branch of the military did you serve under? What was your position in the military?
A. I'm a Colonel in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with 30 years of service.
Q. What were your responsibilities in the military?
A. I have held many positions in the US Army Active and Reserve Forces. Most recently, when I was Director of Supply and Maintenance, I was responsible for integrating Supply and Maintenance issues for the 377th Theater Support Command. I was also a senior advisor to commander for all matters of supply & maintenance in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
Q. What is your current position?
A. I'm currently a Manager of Engineering and Technology at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation.
Q. Serving in the military provides great leadership skills. Beyond that, what skills and experiences did you learn in the military that enable you to be successful on the job?
A. It taught me management and organizational techniques for very large and complex projects that I use in the oil field of today to achieve success.
Q. Did you use the benefits of the GI Bill to enhance your education?
A. Yes. I took several courses towards my Master’s degree using the GI bill.
