Harry Prestanski, Corporal, USMC
Corporal Harry Prestanski has been a business and communications professional for over 30 years, working for major communications organizations including his own Public Relations agency. He has won numerous awards for Public Relations programs and campaigns, and was recognized for his commitment to civic activities by the Governor of Minnesota, with May 24, 1997 being proclaimed “Harry Prestanski Day”. Of all the titles he has held, however, the one with which he is most proud is that of United States Marine, having served 16 months in Vietnam. During his military career, Corporal Prestanski was awarded several medals. After receiving an honorable discharge, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Ohio University and then started his professional business career with Hobart Brothers in Troy, Ohio. Corporal Prestanski is a co-founder of Ohio Veterans United and currently serves as their Executive Director. He also serves on the Governor’s Council on Peoples with Disabilities as the organization’s Vice Chair, and is a VFW Life Member.
