Hillary Horsley, Specialist, USA

Hillary Suter-Horsley served with the Army National Guard as an 88M Truck Driver and Combat Lifesaver. She served in Operation Iraqi Freedom in the 1486th Transportation Unit; and with the 518th Guntruck Unit, and was the unit’s first female member. During her service, she earned several medals including the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with "M" Device, Army Service Ribbon, Driver and Mechanic Badge with "W" device, and the Army Commendation Medal. When she returned stateside, she continued her service, volunteering with relief efforts for Hurricane Katrina. Hillary was honorably discharged in 2006, and is currently a Licensed Practical Nurse with Genesis Healthcare Center in Marion, Ohio.
